Widget strategy

Collect all spell runes, weapons, armor, Minion upgrades, Overlord runes and reenter the foundry lair. Use the following steps to access this Boss. First, summon four or more Blue Minions and order them to operate the gears and lower the bridge across to the next area in the arena. Next, dodge all attacks sent by Widget and summon four or more Red Minions. Order them to operate the gears and lower the bridge across to the next area in the arena. Use Brown Minions to destroy the bridge leading to the first area in the arena. Next use the small ramp down to the floor. Use the Petrify spell, after he gets done charging, use the Power Drain spell to lower his health. Do not Widget hand to hand. Repeat the above steps to defeat Widget.

Throttling Minions

When you reach a certain point in Farmsted, you will have to use an Overlord move called "Throttling". To perform this move, hold A + B and swing the Wiimote Up next to a minion, then shake the Wiimote Left and Right until its eyes glow red. Then, release A and B. Throttle the following minions for the corresponding effects:

MINION - HOW TO UNLOCK
Brown Minions - Throttling this type of Minion will cause a moderate sized explosion dealing instant damage and may incapacitate any enemy for a few seconds.
Red Minions - Throttling this type of Minion will cause a normal sized explosion dealing fire damage and setting enemies on fire.
Blue Minions - Throttling this type of Minion will cause a normal sized explosion of healing dust that will bring any injured Minion back to life.
Green Minions - Throttling this type of Minion will cause a normal sized explosion with a poison side effect.
