Hunt caribou as they are the easiest to catch on foot if your first shot does not drop them. Bows are not required--use the hand gun and all three shotguns.

Hunt every animal while using the optimum gun for that type. Try to shoot it in the lung or heart. If you fail on your first attempt, restart the hunt.
