Unlockable: Bahamut
You'll find him in the World of Ruin. To get him, you have to beat Deathgaze while flying.
Unlockables:
Perform the stated task in order to unlock a new option, which will then be available in the main menu, under "Extra".
Music Player - Complete the game.
Bestiary - Save the game once.
