To find out which firmware you have, have a game in your DS and enter Pictochat Room A. Take out your DS game, and the screen briefly turn into a specific color. The color signifies the version of DS firmware you have on your DS.

ver. 1 - DS will freeze (no color)
ver. 2 - Blue-Gray
ver. 3 - Green
ver. 4 - Yellow
ver. 5 - Pink
ver. 6 - Dark Blue
