Identical Items:
Press [Alt] + S to quickly save your game while in your sector. Next, take an item from the speed inventory bar at the bottom of the screen and keep it afloat. Press [Alt] + R to restore the game. The choosen item should still be in your grasp as well as in the inventory. Place the item that's afloat into an open location in the inventory to get two of the same item.
