Easy credits:
Buy the contact gun and its ammo will begin appearing around the ship; sell all of the ammo you acquire for scores of credits.
Acquire alien language codex:
In chapter 6, after battling the ultimate creature, there is a flashing
sign just before the anti-gravity area; this is a codex for the alien
